Hello. I own a Tiger I bought from Germany and am interested in the cars history. It's chassis number is B9472972 RRO FE. I cannot read German si I cannot understand the papers I got with the car. It does have, Tag der ersten Zulassung 01.07.66. Is this when it was first registered in Germany ?. I am interested in the cars history and past owners. I am currently restoring the car. Thanks Mal
my name is markus I´m the tigerman - vicepresident of the club. I will lock today what I found about your tiger. what was the name of the last owner? the 1.7.66 is the first day of registered in germany.
if it reads "RRO" FE it can not be an original german car. Furthermore all original ones were called "Alpine 260" instead of Tiger. Nevertheless it could have imported to Germany at some time...
Thanks for the replies. The car is definetly a RRO. It also has it's chassis number stamped to the firewall as the Alpine 260 does. I bought it from a Mr Karl Trah in 2008.

I have been trying to post a photo. I will give it another try. If it does not work the car is carnival red with a black interior. My E mail is MALCOLM.GRAHAM@xtra.co.nz. Thanks.
Thanks for the picture- nice scenic background. Oh yes we know the car it stood here in Germany for sale quite some time. Perhaps Junkie can help with more info regarding the previous owner...
Hi Marcus and Thomas. Yes the car is a RRO. I have had the numbers on the cowl tag checked by STOC and checked them to the Jensen build sheets. The diff and gearbox are correct to the car. The engine has been replaced by a 1962 260 with 289 heads. It seems it has spent most of it's time in Germany. First registered there in 1966. I thought someone from the club may have owned the car or known the car. It has had some major body work done before and now needs redoing. Here is a link to what I am having done now. http://sunbeamtiger.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=649 Thanks Mal.
